White ink ( “gouache”, a form of watercolor paint), is completely opaque and super dramatic on dark or black paper. This is a small ‘Rsvp’ envelope with a stamp to match the stationery inside.

Glossy or sparkly paper requires pre-treating to accept calligraphy tools and inks. It’s worth the extra effort as the effect is extraordinary with dark inks. (Silver paper and dark green ink).
